Learn how to configure a centralized view of all related assessment information for a Case.
About the Feature
With the 25R2 release, Safety supports viewing all related assessment details in a centralized location, streamlining the medical review process for complex Cases. The new Medical Assessments section offers a combined view of Case Assessment, Case Assessment Result, and Case Assessment Expectedness object records, allowing users to view and evaluate all information in a single section, rather than having to switch between three (3) sections to complete a review.
The Medical Assessments section provides a consolidated view while continuing to support the previously available adding, editing, and deleting functionality.
Once you have configured this feature, see Perform Medical Assessments for more information.
Recommended Setup
Although not required for using the Medical Assessments section, we recommend removing the Case Assessment, Case Assessment Result, and Case Assessment Expectedness control sections from all applicable Case object layouts.
Add the Medical Assessments Section to Cases
Add the Medical Assessment control section with the Slider () icon to applicable Case object layouts with the following configuration:
- For the Medical Review (Unblinded) layout, in the Blinding Type field, select Unblinded and Open Label.
- For the non-blinded Medical Review layout, in the Blinding Type field, select Blinded and Open Label.
Grant Permissions
As the Medical Assessments control section displays information from the Case Assessment, Case Assessment Result, and Case Assessment Expectedness objects, ensure users who need to view the section have at minimum Read permission for their permission sets. Grant additional access to objects and fields according to your organization’s process. Manage object permissions from Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set] > Objects > [Object].
